Lawmakers Look at Bills Allowing Guns in Schools

Do you support allowing guns in schools That will be the hot topic in Salem Friday morning.

School Board members and the Executive Director of the Oregon School Boards Association will testify at the State Capitol.

They want local communities to be able to decide whether guns will be allowed in schools.

There are four gun-safety bills going before the Senate-Judiciary Committee.

One of the bills would make a law prohibiting guns inside a school building, but local districts could vote to opt out.

The hearing starts Friday morning at 8:30 A.M.
