Magnitude 4.7 quake strikes off Oregon Coast

COOS BAY, Ore. – A magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded off the Oregon Coast Wednesday morning.

The United States Geological Survey said the quake took place at 7:11 a.m. about 230 miles west of Coos Bay.

The magnitude 4.7 quake was classified as a “light” intensity temblor, causing no damage.

No tsunami warnings were issued due to the earthquake.
