FBI: No charges for Clinton

NC_comey0705_1500x845Washington, D.C. (NBC News) — FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday that his agency won’t recommend criminal charges against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State.

Comey described the use of the server as “extremely careless” and added that 110 emails out of the thousands sent contained classified information.

Still, Comey said that there was no clear evidence that Clinton or her State Department colleagues intended to violate any laws and added that “no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”
