KLAMATH LAKE, Ore. – A search is underway on Upper Klamath Lake for a man who went missing after an apparent kayaking accident.

Police and medical crews were called to the Modoc Point area at about 6:30 Monday evening to a report of an empty kayak on the lake.

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office began searching for 52-year-old Roger Combs, who recently moved to the Chiloquin area.

It’s believed Combs was wearing a camo life jacket.

An active search was still underway Tuesday.
