Love was in the air today as family and friends came together to make an ailing brides long-awaited wish come true.
Two years ago Melissa Windsor Millard was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
A family member recently asked her what would give her strength and joy, and she replied: a wedding.
So community members donated time and items to make her wish come true, and she remarried her husband of 18 years.
“It’s incredible, you have so many people that love you. It’s a really good feeling, especially when you’re going through tough times. So it’s a good feeling knowing so many people came so far foryou and we didn’t even know they were coming.”
Community members and several businesses took time and donated services to make today’s dream wedding come true.
