Ashland Watershed Trails Closed For Tree Thinning

An area closure will begin on Monday in the Ashland Watershed as a tree thinning project gets underway

As part of the Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project, helicopters will be removing thinned trees from the Watershed area. Recreationists are asked to use alternate areas starting next week.

Affected trails include the Upper Alice in Wonderland trail, White Rabbit, Caterpillar, Jabberwocky, Toothpick, Marty’s, Catwalk, and Eastview trails.

The closure is in effect 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, through the end of April. Trails are expected to open, weather permitting, on May 1st.
