SALEM, ORE. — Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown remains quiet after Governor John Kitzhaber announced his resignation on Friday.
Brown did not stop to answer questions from reporters at the state’s birthday celebration in the capitol building on Saturday.
When brown spoke with the crowd, brown kept her comments short.
“Our task, our challenge is to make sure we keep Oregon the very special place that it is,” Brown said.
She never once mentioned Kitzhaber or the investigation into the governor and his fiancee.
Brown will be sworn in as Oregon’s 38th Governor on Wednesday.
