Officials say they have some good news regarding Oregon’s future online insurance marketplace.
The state tested “Cover Oregon” over the past week.
The marketplace will allow users to shop and compare insurance rates and benefits.
Senator Alan Bates says the test was a major success.
“It worked really well. People had the chance to look at a benefit plan across all insurers and then it was just a matter of comparing costs. And people are able to shop for the first time for insurance, which is something you haven’t been able to do in the past.
“Cover Oregon” will officially launch, and be accessible to the public in October.
