More graffiti cases in public places

MEDFORD, ORE. — West Medford residents say they’re frustrated after waking up every morning to new graffiti in their neighborhood.

One of the newest tags could be seen Sunday morning at the Peach Street Market.

Members of the West Medford Beautification Group have been cleaning graffiti from the neighborhood over the past couple weeksand even though they say it seems like there’s something new to scrub off every day they have a message for the taggers.

“To the people who are doing it, you keep putting it up, we’ll keep taking it down. We have three hundred people in our group and I don’t know how many of you there are but there’s three hundred of us,” said Randi Brock, the organizers for the West Medford Beautification Group.

Medford Police say graffiti may not necessarily be on the rise but the criminals could just be hitting more visible places.
