(NBC News) Businesses put lots of people back to work in February.
The Labor Department reports the unemployment dropped to 5.5 percent, the lowest rate since May of 2008.
The biggest jobs gains were in food services, professional and business services, and construction.
Still, wages continue to rise slowly, increasing just one-tenth of a percent.
