A sigh of relief today from 66 Jackson County Sheriff’s employees who received notice last month that they may be let go. Those 66-pink slip notices will likely be rescinded after an arbitrator ruled in Jackson County’s favor Friday. At issue – a $2.7 million contract dispute between the county and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Employees Association. But as NBC-5’s Craig Smullin reports… it’s likely only a matter of time before some cuts are made.
