Oregon Standoff Ends With Suspect In Custody

The standoff at a Lincon City Motel has ended. After being holed up in his room for hours, police wheeled out 26-year-old Michael “Chad” Boysen on a gurney and placed him under arrest.

Boysen is accused of killing his grandparents at their home outside of Seattle over the weekend. He was released from prison Friday after serving several years in prison for robbery.

His grandparents — both in their eighties — picked him up and were hosting a welcome home party for him that night.

Boysen’s mother found the bodies of the grandparents Saturday morning and police began a manhunt for the suspect. Police believe the grandparentswere killed following the party and Boysen took off in their car.

An empoyee of the motel Boysen was staying in recognized him on the news the morning after he checked in to the motel using his real name and immediately contacted authorities.
