Pancreatic Cancer Walk

Today dozens of people hit the track to bring awareness to pancreatic cancer.

The event was held at North Medford High School this morning and organized by Brittany Willits as part of her senior project.

“It’s not really out there like breast cancer and it’s very hard to detect. So I figure if we make more people aware of it, then more people can be conscious about it.”

Willits says she raised nearly five-hundred dollars. All the proceeds will be donated to the Lustgarden Foundation, a non-profit that aims to find a cure for the disease.
