Skeen Returned, Charged With Murder

A suspect in a recent homicide has been returned to Klamath County to face murder charges.

34 year old Zane Sterling Skeen was arraigned this afternoon ona chargeof murder.

Skeen is accused of killing 65 year old Larry Wayne Clark, who was found dead at his Lindley Way home on the 12th of this month.

Skeen was arrested February 10th following a high-speed chase that began in Arizona, and ended with a crash in Utah.

The car belonged to the former wife of the murder victim…she has yet to be linked to this case any other way.

Zane Skeen had lived next door to Larry Wayne Clark.

Skeen was wanted on multiple warrants for burglary, theft, menacing, and for failing to report as a sex offender.

Skeen’s criminal history includes a conviction in 1999 for 3 counts of second-degree rape…Skeen was sentenced to 19 months in prison as part of a plea agreement.

For now, Skeen is represented by Klamath Falls attorney Phil Studenberg. Skeen is being held without bail.

Investigators still aren’t talking about any possible motive behind the killing.

Skeen’s next court appearance has been scheduled for March 7th.
