Smoky Skies Over Rogue Valley

Officials are advising residents in the Rogue Valley not to be alarmed if you notice smoke in the skies over the next week.

On Wednesday, the Federal Bureau of Land Management sparked more than 400 acres of underbrush in forest lands in both Jackson and Josephine counties.

The agency will burn another 50 acres on Thursday.

Crews are burning the land to help reduce the risk for potential wildfires.
