Veterans have been at the center of discussion as Representative Greg Walden visited Southern Oregon to talk about care for our military men and women back from service.
Today local veterans spoke out about how they can help and take care of other veterans.
They say organizations like the V.F.W. are there to support servicemen and women back from war, but they don’t think that message is getting through to younger generations.
“Even if they don’t need help, we need help. We need some young bodies in here to keep this place going and to keep the numbers up so we can keep a strong voice in congress.”
The V.F.W. in Rogue River is in need of veteran volunteers to help with a number of community projects.
