Washington Gay Marriage Referendum Goes To Ballot

A referendum on gay marriage in Washington state has qualified for the November ballot.

Opponents of gay marriage signed a petition with almost 250,000 signatures.

The Washington state legislature originally passed a law legalizing same-sex marriage in the state and was approved by Governor Christine Gregorie in February.

Supporters of gay marriage are have already started campaigning to make sure same-sex marriage becomes legal.
