DEBOERMedford, Ore. — The Jackson County Republicans chose tonight who will run against Tonya Moro for Senate District 3.

The Republicans picked Alan DeBoer as their candidate for the November general election.

DeBoer is a lifelong resident of Ashland as well as former mayor and owner of Town and Country Chevrolet.

“I don’t know the solutions to all the problems but when a problem comes to me, I think I can address it and come to a reasonable, sensible solution,” addressed DeBoer to the Republcian crowd.

Retired Colonel Dave Dotterer was also nominated, but did not accept.

DeBoer was already the Republican candidate for the House District 5 seat against Ashland City Councilwoman Pam Marsh. Now the Republicans will have to hold a second convention to nominate a new person for that seat.
