Sidewalk repair on Central Avenue

Medford, Ore. — The City of Medford will repair sidewalks on Central Avenue. The city council made the call Wednesday afternoon.

The project costs approximately $300,000 and will fix sidewalks damaged by age and tree roots.

“The reason we’re in the current situation is because the trees’ roots grew and moved up the pavers, which are what we’re using for the sidewalk,” said Kevin Stine, Medford City Councilor.

The vote to move forward means the city can now start to budget for the project.
