Man eludes police after striking patrol vehicle

0509 tyler RossiterJackson County, Ore. – Police are searching for a man who they say fled from an attempted traffic stop and struck a patrol vehicle.

Police said 25-year-old Tyler J. Rossiter was driving in the area of Avenue A and Antelope Road around 8:40 Monday morning. Deputies tried to pull over Rossiter’s vehicle after recognizing that he had warrants out for his arrest and a suspended driver’s license.

According to deputies, Rossiter fled from the stop, hitting a patrol vehicle in the process. Luckily, the deputy was not hurt.

Rossiter was last seen traveling north through Shady Cove. Deputies identified the vehicle as a light blue 1996 Buick 4-door, with an Oregon license plate reading 869FJA.
