Ashland, Or — A retired sheriff deputy who was part of the search efforts says they found footprints that may provide clues as to Ragsdale’s location but there aren’t any definitive signs just yet. The footprints reportedly lead outside the search area but will be investigated when search efforts resume Saturday morning, say search coordinators.
An entire community is coming together in the search for a missing Talent man.
Todd Ragsdale was last seen yesterday morning, before he went for a run near Lithia park.
Jackson County Search and Rescue teams, a helicopter, and dozens of volunteers have spent the last day and a half scouring the area above Lithia park near the watershed looking for any signs of the 46 year old talent man.
“So far we’ve had about 50 to 60 SAR volunteers with county sheriffs and probably 80-100 what we call emergent volunteers, people that come up that heard the story and would know how to hike and want to help,” said Lt. Pat Rowland a retired Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy who is helping with the search.
Search efforts have suspended through the night, due to the weather, which is a big concern Ragsdale was last seen wearing a black beanie cap, a green jacket with the words “Rogue Valley Runners” shorts, and bright green running shoes.
Tonight temperatures are expected to dip below freezing, with the possibility of snow.
Search and Rescue Crews will resume the search tomorrow morning.
