Chinese satellite expected to reenter atmosphere this weekend

MEDFORD, Ore. — A Chinese satellite is expected to fall back to earth sometime in the first few days of April.

We reached out to U.S. Space Command who says they are tracking China’s Tiangong-1 and that there are many factors in play once a satellite re-enters the atmosphere, complicating their ability to predict where it will end up.

Fortunately, the satellite nicknamed ‘Heavenly Palace’, is expected to break up during reentry and anything that doesn’t burn up will probably fall into the ocean.
